We want everyone to be able to choose and send a gift with Elio Gift, whatever device, language or assistive technology they use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on this website and in the Elio Gift app.
What we do
- Two languages, properly. Every page is in English and Arabic. Arabic pages read right to left, with the layout mirrored, and use Western digits throughout.
- Readable colours. Text and controls meet AA contrast against their backgrounds.
- Works with assistive technology. Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled links, and every meaningful image has a description in both languages.
- Keyboard friendly. Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Comfortable to touch. Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Calm motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, we switch off animations. Nothing important depends on them.
- Zoom and text size. Pages reflow from small phones to large screens without horizontal scrolling, and respect your text-size settings.
Known limits
- Product photos in the app are still being added, with descriptions written for each one.
- Some third-party pages we link to, such as maps and payment screens, follow their own accessibility standards.
